Dear Prospective Buyer,
We loved our house at first sight. The front porch has always been a favorite place to meet friends, read a book or just sip a cocktail. We didn’t realize at first how perfect our location is. Over the past 20 years, we have walked to school, town, friend’s homes, train, and Giralda Farms to exercise. However, the location is more than just a geographic location. Our neighborhood is our extended family. Our children grew up running through our backyard to Green Hill Rd to play! We are a part of two block parties each summer. Vinton Road of course, but also Green Hill Road. It’s been like an extension of our back yard.
We feel blessed to be a part of this incredible home’s history. This house has so much character. It has been built to stand the test of time, for its inhabitants to enjoy and be able to share our stories. We often laugh at how when we first saw the house we thought it was “too big,” but in fact our family has used every single room in the house in multiple ways as our needs grew and evolved over the years.
Since our home has such a grand, welcoming presence, we have had the pleasure of being the “go to” house for our kids and their friends and families. We have hosted hundreds of kids activities after school and on weekends. A few special memories include volleyball dinners, the kids swinging on our tree swing, sleepovers, art room sessions, playing store in the 3rd floor playroom, front porch dinner parties, Olympics birthday party, tailgate graduation party, and so many Christmas eve and holiday family parties.
It’s wonderful to watch people who walk into the house for the first time. Their faces reveal a kind of wonder and appreciation for our house. We are sad to leave this special place with so many memories, but we will stay close to continue our lifelong friendships and enjoy our wonderful town of Madison.
