New Providence Is a borough on the northwestern edge of Union County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on the Passaic River, which forms the county boundary with Morris County. the population is 12,171. New Providence is bordered to the north by Chatham Township, across the Passaic River. Berkeley Heights lies to the southwest and south, and Summit to the east.

Homes in this town generally tend to be more colonial style with a larger front yard to give a pleasing curb appeal. Sitting on a couple thousand square feet these homes come equipped with many great features for any family to use to its full potential. Homes in New Providence tend to sell for around $400k to a little over a million dollars with the median home price being $575k. Making it a much more affordable town which most towns can not compete with. 

Schools in this area do have public school systems provided in Pre K, Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. New Prov. serves 2 Elementary schools, a Middle school and a High school. Ranked #39 in New Jersey out of all the High Schools in the state as well as ranked nationally at #1,001 out of all the high schools. The school system is very well known for its academic standards and good education. 

New Providence does come supplied with a safe and friendly downtown area for anyone to utilize. Many shops and restaurants reside in the core downtown including the surrounding areas. As well as a Jaycees park sitting close to town making it walkable to reach all the features the town has to offer. Jaycees Park maintains beautiful green fields as well as a ballpark and walking path, perfect to bring children to for the playground. Within walking distance to town and Jaycees Park is the SaltBox Museum which is a historical society which the town holds. Open the first Sunday of every month, and or by appointment, anyone is welcome to stop by and explore the history of New Providence that dates back even before the American Revolution. With new things to discover this makes it very family friendly oriented.  

New Providence does come with its very own train station located on Old Springfield Avenue. The line follows the Morris Essex Line which starts at Dover and follows through to NY Penn station making it a direct line to New York City. Stopping at several other stations making visiting and exploring North New Jersey easy and fun.
