Millburn Township

Millburn NJ is a beautiful residential community located in the southwest corner of Essex County. The Township is easy to reach via the midtown direct line of New Jersey Transit, the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike, and is also convenient to Routes 24 and 78. The present population of the Millburn-Short Hills area is approximately 20,130.

Millburn has a great school district being named the 15th best school district in the United States and the #1 school district in New Jersey. It is held to a high standard that no other school districts can compete with. Millburn has public pre-k, kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. It holds a pre-k program and 4 elementary schools as well as 1 middle school and 1 high school. Not only is the school district ranked but so is the high school Millburn high school is ranked 18th within New Jersey making it high academic standards. Children from Short Hills also attend Millburn High School. 

The downtown of Millburn is a great place for a night on the town. With many restaurants and shops the possibilities are endless. Be sure to stop by the famous Millburn Deli and many other highly recommended restaurants and cafes. Taylor Park Community Center is situated right in town making it accessible to those in and about the main town. Taylor Park comes equipped with a baseball field, a walking path, a pond, basketball courts and tennis courts. Keeping you active and healthy all while having fun. 

Millburn comes with a train station located at Essex Street in Millburn not too far from downtown. The train runs along the Morris and Essex line starting at Dover train station and ending at NY Penn Station. 

Short Hills Section of Millburn

Short Hills is considered to be a section of Millburn Township. Short Hills ranked 11th in “15 Best Communities in New Jersey.” Making it a desirable place to live for all potential buyers moving in. 

Homes in Short Hills are priced higher than Millburn homes making it a more luxurious real estate area. Short Hill homes do tend to offer more privacy with taller landscaping and more acreage giving you a more secluded feeling. Houses in this area tend to be priced at $900k to $7.5 million with the average price being sold at $2.5 million. 

Short Hills schooling is unique in that all children living in this area attend Millburn School District. Which is a great addition to this area because Millburn School District is ranked the #15 in “best school districts” in the United States and #1 in New Jersey. Short Hills has its very own train station located on Chatham Road. Similar to Milburns station, situated a couple of miles away, it runs along the Morris and Essex line which starts by Dover and travels all the way up to NY Penn Station.
