Florham Park is bordered by Madison and Chatham Borough on the south, Hanover and East Hanover Townships on the North, Morris Township on the west, and the Passaic River on the East and contains a lot into its 7.6 square miles. Florham Park has a population of 12,000 residents’, 40 corporate entities, 100 plus businesses, 2 universities (Drew University and Fairleigh Dickinson) and a particular fan favorite, The $75 million dollar training facility for The New Jersey Jets, previously occupied by Exxon Research & Engineering.

The predominant style of homes has the charm of 19th-century-style colonials, 1940s Cape’s, and 1950s split-level. The average sale price for 2014 was $555,500 residing on average .4 - .6 acre lots. Several of Florham Park’s neighborhood communities include; Floral Manor, Briarwood, Murphy Circle, Sherbrooke, and Rosemont Estates. Florham Park townhome and condo neighborhoods include Hearthwood Village, Belantrae Greens, Florham on the Green, Brandywyne, Brooklake Park, and Northgate at Florham. Higher-end portions of the community include the Summit Woods development and Country Club Estates, adjacent to the Brooklake Country Club.

Florham Park is home to continued domestic and commercial growth. The Goddard School, a national chain of private preschools is building a facility at the Park Avenue business campus. The Green at Florham Park, where the NJ Jets are located is adding a 350,000 square foot, 225-room extended-stay facility; as well as adding 425 new high-end homes and condominiums, built by Rockefeller Group Development Corporation.

Florham Park School District serves public school students in grades K through 8. The schools in the district include; Briarwood Elementary School (K-2), Brooklake Elementary School (grades 3-5), and Ridgedale Middle School (grades 6-8). Grades 9-12 attend Hanover Park Regional High School, also attended by students from the neighboring community of East Hanover.

Florham Park has two 18-hole golf courses: Brooklake Country Club, which is a private course, and Pinch Brook Golf Club, which is a public course. Much of the community spirit is centered around the $4 million Elm Street Recreation Complex, the town municipal pool which recently underwent a $1 million update, and the 7-acre Spring Gardens Lake open for watersports and fishing throughout from spring through fall. Recreational facilities located in Florham Park include Emmett Field, Stobaeus Park, and Beechcrest Park.

Florham Park has an all-volunteer first aid crew, fire department, and town council. Volunteers make up all mayor-appointed boards, including the Historic Preservation Commission, the Environmental Commission, the Recreation Committee, and the July infamous 4th of July town committee.

The borough of Florham Park’s symbolic heart is the Little Red School House, built in 1866, the preserved schoolhouse has served as a center for local dances, religious gatherings, and town meetings.
